Today has been the calm before the storm in Washington DC. The Senate doesn’t reconvene until tomorrow afternoon to consider the House’s latest continuing resolution that includes a one year delay of Obamacare and a deletion of the Obamacare requirement for all health insurance to provide contraceptive coverage for women (the on-going Republican war against women continues!). The Senate will reject the House provisions noted above and send a clean funding bill back to the House and by that point I expect that the midnight deadline will have passed and the Government will be shutdown.
