Roberta’s performance was excellent but most people don’t realize that it was a cover of a song that had been released by a young singer named Lori Lieberman a year earlier. I have been a huge Lori Lieberman fan since her debut album in 1972. I absolutely love the tone of her voice and I prefer her version of Killing Me Softly.
